About Me
Ndedi Asek is an Afro-contemporary visual artist. The scope of my knowledge of art revolves not only around painting, but also encompasses digital arts, graphic design, illustration, 2D animation and various forms of traditional art-making. I’m also into creative writing and craftsmanship. Ndedi Asek is a passionate, objective, mysterious type of person…Who is always willing to learn and appreciate new aspects of life. I’m of both Cameroonian and Nigerian heritage, an aspect that has immensely boosted and widened my creative process and knowledge.

A Little Intro
I was born and raised in Kumba, Cameroon. I never studied arts in school. It is a gift from God, I must say. The Creative process of art-making has always been a part of me, right from the tender age. As a kid, I was opportune to learn a rich diversity of cultural experiences. This developed in me a deep sense of love for land and strong bond and connection between people of different cultures and languages. I still have memories of how my drawings in primary school used to put the teachers and students in a state of awe. So, with regards art, it came natural. Although I continue to learn from fellow artists and collaborators on means to fine-tune and polish my skills.
My Exhibitions
With regards to my exhibitions, I try to create art that voice out the essence of human beauty and strength of the spirit…Art that appeals to our conscience and spiritual values. In that light, I use different perspectives of humanity and create art that illuminates the untainted values of our immortal strength…The Soul.
The driving force behind my arts comes from an intuitive, spiritual and symbolic concept or thought process. I am inspired by nature, ceremonial rituals, people in relation to their culture and environment, social trends and events, history and religion.
